Lion’s Story
A little lion sits in the warm grass.
His big fluffy mane looks soft and full.
He looks around at his home.
A gray rock sits close by.
He curls his tail beside him.
He feels strong and brave today.
He gives a big proud smile.
He is a little lion with a big heart.
What a mighty little lion!
Did You Know?
A lion’s roar is so loud that people can hear it from five miles away.
Try It Out
Practice your best lion roar, then try a tiny kitten meow right after.
Coloring Tip
Save the mane for last, all those little lines are fun to fill in with a few different shades.
Don’t let the mane fool you, this cub is more sweet than fierce, sitting proudly in the grass rather than roaring at anything. Grab the outline to color plus a colored copy to keep nearby as a guide. More gentle, kid-friendly animal scenes are waiting in the Animal Coloring Pages collection.
